your answer is yes, Synthetic ingredients and chemicals found in most bottled fragrances can discolor pearls, diamonds, and gems and tarnish silver (Gold is pretty impervious.) Let perfume dry for 10 minutes before putting on your jewelry and if you have on silver or nickle take them off before you spray even over spray can turn your lovely gems into green or brown even blue colored messes.
