You may or may not have seen this fabulous website, but at Free Cycle, you can get free stuff right from the folks in your neighborhood. That's right... you know your neighbor that gave away a free couch before you had the chance?  He probably listed it on Free Cylcle for the first taker. Think your community is not listed?  Think again; I bet it is.  Even small towns are active with this program. You can even send out "items wanted" messages to your local FreeCycle group.  Best of all, it's free to join, and free to use.

Sometimes they have some really funny items on freecycle too.  YOu should check it out if just for the laugh.  There's good stuff too and it is a good idea but some people offer some weird stuff.

I LOVE freecycle.  Not only have I gotten rid of some stuff that would have otherwise gone into a landfill, but I've gotten some great stuff too:  craft books, a TV and VCR, a digital camera, a pile of romance novels for my mother, roller skates for me sons, and a huge bag of yarn for crafts.

Funny, I just saw an ad for this the day before I joined this forum.  I was really curious.  Now I can't wait to participate.
